Million of voters in New York, Virginia, New Jersey, and California headed to the polls to vote in mayoral, gubernatorial and proposition elections.
Democrats swept the major races in the elections, with Zohran Mamdani, 34, winning the highly-anticipated New York City mayoral race. Mamdani will become the city’s youngest mayor since 1892.
Mikie Sherill and Abigail Spanberger won their respective gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia.
