Cletus Avoka, Chairman of the Parliamentary Judiciary Committee, has encouraged Minority Leader Dr Cassiel Ato Forson to focus on the forthcoming elections.
This advice comes in the wake of a Court of Appeal ruling that cleared Dr Forson of all charges in the ongoing ambulance case.
In an interview on Tuesday, Mr Avoka advised Dr Forson to view the decision as sufficient justice and concentrate on retaining his seat and aiding former President John Mahama in winning the presidential race.
“If the AG is minded to listen, to read the judgement of the majority decision very well and he is minded of what is happening in the country, the public comments on the case he will advise himself.
“He will let the matter rest there at the court of appeal and not go beyond there.”
“We congratulate the minority leader Dr Ato Forson. We think that he is an honest man. He is a PC and we think that he should take time off and go and campaign and win his seat and also let John Mahama win the flagbearership. He shouldn’t worry himself doing any other thing,” he stated.
