Apex Health Insurance has launched its newest product, the “Abusua Pa Health Plan,” designed to reduce the financial burden of illness on families while maintaining quality healthcare services.
The plan is tailored to provide comprehensive health coverage, ensuring that families can access necessary medical care without breaking the bank.
The “Abusua Pa Health Plan” offers a range of benefits, including: comprehensive health coverage for individuals and families, access to quality healthcare services from a network of accredited providers, financial protection against unexpected medical expenses, and preventive care services to promote overall health and well-being.
Speaking to Joy Business on the sidelines of the launch of the product, the CEO of Apex Health Insurance, Patricia Yeboah, explained the objective behind the product.
“The Apex Abusua Pa health plan has been introduced to reduce the burden of health care financing on individuals and families in Ghana. Also, people living in the diaspora who are seeking for healthcare can also subscribe to it from wherever they are.
“It has also come to improve access to quality healthcare, and also contribute to the national agenda of universal healthcare for every Ghanaian.”
Deputy Director of Private Health Insurance Scheme, Dr. Andy Mprah, told Joy Business, the Abusua Pa Health Plan will be a significant step towards achieving universal health coverage and promoting a healthier society.
Additionally, he believed “this is a very innovative plan that I would encourage other schemes to emulate.”
“Abusua Pa in Twi inadvertently means a good family, and it, in a way, speaks to not just healthcare for individuals, but for the whole family.”
“So I think this is a very innovative plan by this scheme, and we at the NHIA encourage that. So I must say that other schemes have similar points, but this seems to be a bit more comprehensive. I would advise other schemes to thank you.”
Apex Health Insurance aims to bridge the gap in healthcare access and affordability, particularly for low-income families.
