On Thursday, June 27 during proceedings in court in relation to the ongoing Ato Forson trial, the court admitted into evidence Richard Jakpa’s supposed dismissal letter from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

The Deputy Attorney General (A-G), Alfred Tuah-Yeboah tendered into evidence the supposed dismissal letter from GAF after arguing that the letter was important to establishing the character and the circumstances surrounding Jakpa’s involvement in the ambulance procurement process.

The judge eventually admitted the document into evidence despite the opposition by the lawyers of the third accused.

Meanwhile, the third accused person accused the Deputy Attorney-General of playing mischief in court in relation to the letter.

]He told journalists after proceedings that Deputy A-G quickly moved to a different subject after asking him to read the content of the letter in court.

He says if he had been asked questions on the letter, he would have “exposed the mischief in the letter.”

“The A-G was being mischievous, he let me read the letter and quickly moved to a different subject without asking me questions about it,” Jakp told the journalists.
