The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the official draw procedures for the upcoming qualifiers of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025.
Key Points:
The draw takes place on July 4th, 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
48 African nations will participate to qualify for the tournament.
Teams have been divided into four pots based on the latest FIFA rankings (June 20th, 2024).
Twelve groups (A-L) of four teams each will be formed through the draw.
The top two teams from each group, except the one containing host Morocco, qualify for the final tournament.
If Morocco finishes first, second, or third in their group, they automatically qualify alongside the group winners (second or first place, respectively).
