Chef Smith sets Guinness World Record for longest cooking marathon

Chef Ebenezer Smith, popularly known as Chef Smith, has officially been awarded the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

Chef Smith’s culinary endurance has set a new benchmark in the world of cooking with a marathon that lasted 802 hours and 25 minutes.

Chef Smith embarked on this remarkable journey on February 1, 2024, with the goal of breaking the existing record. While his initial target was 1,200 hours, he concluded his marathon on March 6 after surpassing the previous record by a significant margin.

This achievement not only showcases his dedication and passion for cooking but also places Ghana on the global map for such unique and challenging feats.

In a press conference held at La Palm Beach, Accra Chef Smith expressed appreciation to Ghanaians for the support.

“I want to thank the wonderful community for also believing in the power of hard work and perseverance. I am Millinun Chef Smith Guiness, the world record holder for the longest cooking marathon. I cannot wait to see what the future holds. Thank you, people of Ghana,” he stated.

In the attempt to set the Guiness World Records and put Ghana on the map, Afua Asantewaa, Chef Failatu were among those who attempted to set the world records but couldn’t make it.
