Dr. Gideon Boako, the spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has urged Ghanaians to evaluate the vice-presidential candidates of the two major political parties based on their track records.
He emphasised the importance of informed voting, encouraging citizens to consider the past achievements and performances of the candidates.
These candidates include Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, and former Education Minister Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
Dr. Boako made these remarks during an interview with Selorm Adonoo on Point Blank on Eyewitness News on Citi FM on Thursday.
Both Dr. Prempeh, also known as Napo, and Prof. Opoku-Agyemang have served as Education Ministers in the past.
Dr. Boako is encouraging Ghanaians to make a decisive decision in the December polls based on their respective track records in public service, which provide a clear indication of their capabilities and commitment to the nation.
“These are two leaders. Let us judge them based on what they have done before to believe or otherwise what they are saying they will do in future,” he stated.
