The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) inaugurated its 28th GJA Awards Committee on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in Accra.
The nine-member committee comprising respected media professionals has been established to see a transparent process in identifying and selecting journalists who have proven their worth over the year under review.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “75 Years of Excellence in Journalism: The Role of the Media in Democratic Governance and Elections”.
Addressing the media at the inauguration event, the president of the Ghana Journalists Association, Albert Kwabena Dwumfour stated that this year’s award ceremony will be bigger and better as it coincides with the GJA 75th Anniversary celebration.
