The celebrated musician took to X on Wednesday to express his profound sadness and remembering the special day and how much he missed her.
In a touching message, Wizkid wrote, “Happy birthday, love of my life! I miss you every day. The first one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you, mama! Life is empty without you. Continue to watch over us! My heart is broken forever! Love you, love you, MORAYO mi. Your smile is a memory I will never forget. Your laugh! Your hugs and kisses. Wizkid’s mother, Jane Dolapo, passed away in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023.
On October 13, 2023, she was laid to rest in a private church service in Lagos, which was attended by her relatives.

In his song “Joy,” the artist referred to her as a tremendous supporter, highlighting her important role in helping him become a worldwide celebrity.
