The presiding judge, Justice Patrick Baayeh, stated that any party wishing to take action must notify the other party.

After reviewing the affidavit submitted by the applicants, which was sworn by the first defendant/applicant, and hearing from Ayikoi Otoo ESQ, the counsel for the defendants/applicants, I believe that the Interim Injunction granted on October 25th, 2023, was issued in error.

The applicants did not provide the court with accurate information about the situation.

To ensure fairness to both parties, the Interim Injunction granted on October 25th, 2023, is hereby cancelled.

If any party wishes to proceed, they must notify the other party so that both sides can present their evidence for proper evaluation.

Justice Patrick Baayeh concluded by stating that no decision regarding costs will be made. This situation arises from a growing disagreement between the planning committee and the bereaved family.

The Ga Manye, who passed away in December 2022, is scheduled to be buried this weekend according to the plans made by the funeral planning committee, which were approved by the Ghana Traditional Council.

However, the family has objected to certain aspects of the plans, claiming that they have not been included in the process as required by Ga tradition.

They subsequently applied for and obtained an injunction against the funeral, which has now been revoked.
