Kudus had an impressive first season in England after joining West Ham United from Ajax. The midfielder adapted quickly, ending the Premier League season with eight goals and six assists. In total, Kudus scored 14 goals for West Ham in his debut season, many of which were memorable.
Among his standout goals were a spectacular half-volley against Brentford, a powerful run and finish against Freiburg in the Europa League, a stunning strike against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, and a breathtaking overhead kick against Manchester City on the final day of the season.
His goal against Freiburg was voted the Europa League Goal of the Season and also won Goal of the Season at the recent Ghana Football Awards. Additionally, his goal against Manchester City was nominated at the Ghana Football Awards. The Black Stars midfielder has revealed his mindset during those moments.

“Those kind of actions are just instincts, they barely happen in the game so when I visioned it from my head, I just went with my instinct and I’m glad that the way I pictured it that’s exactly how it went and I was happy to score,” he stated explaining his goal overhead strike against Man City.
Talking about the goal against Freiburg, Kudus also revealed the motive wasn’t to score but the vision became clear when he saw there was space to attack.
“When I took the ball from the start, my thought wasn’t to score but I was just driving towards the space but as I was getting closer to the goal, the vision was clear and I was like with the distance I’m in, I need to score and in really happy that it went in, I’m glad it went in,” he added.
