Most Ghanaian voters want young leadership – Poll – MyJoyOnline

A new survey by Global InfoAnalytics has found that most Ghanaian voters favour the election of younger leaders.

The poll shows that 64% of respondents support the idea of Ghana choosing young leaders, compared to 12% who oppose it, while 24% remain neutral.

“In what could be a significant development in future elections, the poll shows that Gen Z and Millennial
voters (voters under 44 years of age) account for nearly voters account for nearly 78% of voters,” the report indicated.

Global Info Analytics added that “The poll also shows that 64% of voters prefer Ghana to elect young leaders compared to 12% who oppose electing young leaders, while 24% were neutral.”

The findings also reveal that younger generations now dominate the electorate, with Gen Z and Millennial voters, those under 44 years of age, accounting for nearly 78% of voters nationwide.

The poll was conducted between 15th September to 23rd September 2025 with a sample of 9,509
voters using mix mode (telephone and face-to-face) and has a confidence level of 99% and a margin of
error of ±1.30%.

A total of 1,997 voters were sampled using Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI), and
7,512 face-to-face interviews across eighty-three (83) constituencies in all the 16 regions.
