On the other hand, Bofoakwa Tano, who faced the heartbreak of relegation from the top flight after a hard-fought return following 16 years, saw this match as a chance to salvage their season.

Bofoakwa Tano took the lead in the 22nd minute through a well-placed goal by Richard Dzikoe. The Sunyani-based team looked poised to lift the trophy as they maintained their lead deep into the second half.

However, with just 11 minutes left on the clock, Sadat Mohammed of Nsoatreman SC struck a crucial equaliser, ensuring the game would head into extra time.

Extra time saw both teams creating opportunities but failing to find the back of the net, leading to a tense penalty shootout to decide the winner. In the shootout, Nsoatreman FC held their nerve and emerged victorious with a 5-4 scoreline, sparking jubilant celebrations among their players and supporters.
