Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies Football Club head coach, Yusif Basigi, says he isn’t surprised by the successes chalked by star striker Mukarama Abdulai.

He said this after Mukarama won the Home-Based Female Footballer of the Year Award at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards.

Aside from starring for Hasaacas after a lengthy injury lay-off, Abdulai played a key role in the Black Princesses’ gold medal win at the 2023 African Games.

“I realized that with such a household name, you don’t need to let her go rotten after she sat at home for almost a year and a half due to injury. We had to ensure that she recuperated. I took her to Takoradi to bring her back on track. She agreed, so I’m not surprised that this time around, she is making it,” Basigi said in an exclusive interview with Channel One Sports.
