Ghanaian artiste BlaKid has disclosed some challenges he has faced in his music career.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Doreen Avio, BlaKid mentioned that his main challenge was how his own people despised his craft.
“But my main challenge was my own people underrating me because I am rapping in Ga. Most people follow trends so they think if everyone go in that direction then you should also follow,” he noted.
He also mentioned that starting up, it was difficult getting his songs recorded. “Money for studio and even to get it played on radio is also a problem,” he said.
Despite these challenges, BlaKid is happy to see Ga music being recognised and getting the attention it needs.
“But I think it’s picking up, they are now accepting the Ga. I’m happy that the Ga music is being recognised, we are getting the attention it needs and by and by ‘3b3 fa’,” he added.
In the meantime, BlaKid has released a new song titled ‘Baa Sumo Mi’.
