The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Agotime-Ziope Constituency with support from other constituencies have embarked on a three- and half-hour health walk through the principal streets of Kpetoe.
The walk according to the organizers do not only aim at keeping members of the party fit, but also to create the needed awareness on the need for people to come out in their numbers and vote out the ruling New Patriotic Party for non-performance.
The health walk brought together thousands of party faithful from Ketu-South, Ketu-North, Ho Central, Adaklu and Agotime-Ziope constituencies as they march and sang to the tune of brass band, ‘borborbor’ music as well as a sound system.
They finally converged at the CEPS barracks park and were addressed by party leaders in the Volta Region.
The MP for Agotime-Ziope, Charles Agbeve pledged to their Flagbearer that the NDC come December 7, would increase their current number of 137 to 150 members in Parliament to show their superiority over NPP.
The MP said a vote for John Mahama is a vote for development and progress, saying that NDC even in opposition under Mahama has facilitated the grading of their road network which shows how committed he can be to electorates.
He blamed the failure of Akufo-Addo-led NPP government to work on the Ho-Danu road on the constant loyalty shown by people in the Volta Region to NDC even though the road was awarded on contract in their first term in office.
According to the MP, NPP’s refusal to extend the needed development to them is that the people of Volta Region have not been voting for them and would never vote for them which he stressed is absurd.
The former MP of the area, Juliana Azuma-Mensah disclosed that the next NDC government has good plans for women, a special bank would be established for women alone in Ghana to better their lot, saying women are the soul and body of John Mahama and that he would do all it takes to ensure that women are put in responsible positions.
Juliana Azuma-Mensah therefore urged all women to turn themselves into politicians and embark on house-to-house campaign to ensure victory for John Mahama and the NDC come December 7th 2024.
The Parliamentary Candidate for Ketu-North, Edem Agbana, has appealed to electorates in and around the Agotime-Ziope Constituency to vote massively for their MP Charles Agbeve since his good works can easily catch the eye of President Mahama to appoint him as a minister.
