Ghana’s athlete Rose Yeboah finished her debut women’s high jump competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics without advancing to the finals.

Yeboah fell short in her third attempt to clear the 1.92-meter mark, which was necessary to progress to the next height of 1.95 meters.

Yeboah successfully cleared a height of 1.88 meters but could not meet the required 1.92 meters, thus missing out on a spot among the final 12 competitors.

Alongside Yeboah, Poland’s Zodzik Maria and Greece’s Dosi Panagiota were also eliminated at this stage.

This outcome follows a previous miss for Ghana, as Harry Stacey placed seventh in the men’s 100m freestyle event earlier this week, marking the second Ghanaian athlete to be knocked out of their event at the Olympics.
