Pep Guardiola responded to his critics by suggesting that they want Haaland to fail.

This comes after Haaland’s somewhat inefficient performance against Young Boys, where he had not scored a goal in his previous five Champions League matches.

However, Haaland managed to break this streak by scoring twice in Manchester City’s 3-1 victory over Young Boys.

In the first half of the match, Haaland missed a clear opportunity to score. Guardiola defended his performance, highlighting the positive impact he had on the game. Guardiola stated, “It is important to have the chances; people want him to fail.

I am sorry, but this guy will score goals throughout his career.

He is an incredible threat with his chances.” Haaland’s recent penalty kick was his first goal in continental competition after a 543-minute goal drought.

Despite this, he has an impressive track record in the Champions League, with 37 goals in 33 appearances.

Haaland’s resurgence is timely as Manchester City is set to face their arch-rivals, Manchester United, in the upcoming derby at Old Trafford on Sunday.
