Fast-rising Ghanaian musician, Debby Sway has shared her thoughts on maintaining professionalism in the music industry.
According to her, music is her passion, and she intends to dedicate herself fully to her craft.
Debby Sway stressed the importance of drawing a clear line between personal life and professional life, particularly for female artists.
She said this when she appeared on during an appearance on Joy Prime on Tuesday, July 8.
The budding musician believes that some artists struggle with this separation, which can perpetuate negative stereotypes.
“The thing with being a professional is you have to know the line. You have to draw a line between your personal life and your professional life. And I think that is what some ladies lack that has made these stereotypes become too many,” she said.
Debby Sway expressed her commitment to delivering high-quality music and working diligently towards her goals. She plans to maintain her professionalism as long as she remains in the music industry, ensuring that her fans receive the best possible product.
“What I plan on doing, however, is that I am going to be professional about my job. And when there is a time where I feel like, ‘oh, you know what, because of these new developments in my life, I’m going to move away from music’, then I’m going to move away from it completely. But then, as long as I am still doing music, I am going to put my best foot forward, I’m going to work hard towards it,” she added.
While she is currently focused on her music career, she hinted that if circumstances change, she may consider stepping away from the industry.
However, for now, she is dedicated to putting her best foot forward and striving for excellence in her craft.
