Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has urged sub-chiefs in the Ga Traditional Area to help Ga-Mantse His Royal Majesty (HRM) King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II to succeed.
According to him, the Ga Mantse would need the support of all chiefs and people to implement his development agenda.
He made this statement during his historic visit to the Ga State on Sunday, June 9, at Ga Mantse’s Palace in Accra.
“The people of Ga and Ashanti must unite to develop our peoples. All Ga chiefs must unite behind Nii Teiko Tsuru II. Unity and development must be our focus in the interest of our children,” he emphasised.
Otumfuo said that gone were days when Chiefs conquered other territories for superiority.
According to him, today, chieftaincy is about development for the people, adding that it is for this reason that various stakeholders need to come together for the common development goal of the people.
The visit marked the second in 78 years after then Asantehene, Otumfuo Sir Osei Agyeman Prempeh II visited Nii Kwabena Bonnie II, the Ga Mantse at the time.
