Stop-gap Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito is not giving up on the title with six games left until the end of the season.
The Porcupine Warriors sit fourth after a run of four matches without a victory and are now six points shy of the top spot.
The poor form prompted the dismissal of Prosper Narteh Ogum and the appointment of Zito, who has been charged with winning the Premier League.
“Six matches, 18 points can change a lot,” Zito said during his unveiling.
“So it’s not over until it’s over. I know we will play against those at the top. So we will fight until the end.”
Zito’s first encounter in the dugout is a Premier League match at home against Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The veteran trainer recently guided Dreams FC to a historic CAF Confederation Cup semi-final and famously led Ghana’s U-20 team to the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations title
