Vine Christian High School (VCHS) has won the prestigious Tech League at the Pan African Robotics Competition 2024 in Senegal.

This victory marks a significant achievement for the school, following its earlier success as the 2023 Ghana Robotics Competition Champions.

The winning team members, Alexine Seiba Amoako-Mensah, Zachary Opoku, Joshua Sunkwa-Mills, and Joshua-Caleb Dadzie, demonstrated remarkable teamwork, skill, innovation and technical prowess throughout the competition.

The competition featured about 400 top young minds from across 14 African countries including Mali, Uganda, Lesotho, Madagascar, Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire, but the VCHS team stood out with their advanced robotic solutions.

The team was coached by Triumph Tetteh, CEO of Starters Technology and Head of the Coding and Robotics Department at VCHS.

His dedication and expertise played a pivotal role in preparing the students for this international challenge.

Also, part of the delegation was Victor Tekpetey, the Principal of VCHS, and some parents who were present to support the team.

George Sarfo, CEO of Firefly iO was the organiser of the Ghana Robotics Competition. He also supported the team all the way to the top.

This victory is a testament to our vision of creating a digitally literate community, equipped to tackle the challenges of the future. It underscores our commitment to be the school of choice that provides quality education within a Christian environment, raising Christ-centered world leaders.

The school would like to acknowledge the leadership of its directors, Dr. Michael and Mrs. Georgette McCarthy, management, and staff, for their incredible hard work and dedication.

The school extends heartfelt thanks to the parents for their amazing support throughout the entire championship journey. Their encouragement and involvement have been crucial to the team’s success.
