The Black Stars held their second training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, March 18, in preparation for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.
Ghana will face Chad on Friday, March 21, as they aim to secure a spot in the tournament, which will be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The team opened camp on Monday, with nine players reporting early to the team’s base at the Alisa Hotel.
These included Mohammed Salisu, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Razak Simpson, Gideon Mensah, Jojo Wollacott, Antoine Semenyo, Benjamin Asare, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, and Kamaradini Mamudu.
Fourteen additional players have since joined the squad, bringing the total number to 23. Among them are Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Lawrence Agyekum, Alexander Djiku, Jonas Adjetey, Bonsu Baah, Francis Abu, Jerry Afriyie, Jerome Opoku, Ebenezer Annan, Ernest Nuamah, Inaki Williams, Mohammed Kudus, and Kingsley Schindler.
The Black Stars must secure a win to move to the top of their group and strengthen their chances of qualifying for the World Cup.
