Mining consultancy firm Aggrey & Associates Limited has celebrated its third anniversary, marking a period of significant growth and impact in Ghana’s natural resource sector. Founded with a mission to transform how mining interacts with communities, ecosystems, and economies, the company operates at the intersection of sustainable mining, environmental governance, business development, and policy advisory.
Ghanaian-owned and incorporated in both Ghana and the UK, Aggrey & Associates works closely with mining companies, investors, regulators, and local communities to promote responsible and forward-looking resource management, not only in Ghana but across international markets.

Over the past two years, the company has forged a strong operational partnership with M. Enterprise Ghana Ltd, a firm established in 2005. Originally a gold purchasing and export agency, M. Enterprise has evolved into a fully integrated mining company engaged in small- and medium-scale mining, ore processing, mine support services, and environmental reclamation. Operating mainly in Konongo, one of Ghana’s oldest gold production belts, M. Enterprise provides contract mining services, specialised equipment rentals, environmental management, and runs a 400-ton-per-day ore processing facility, with expansion plans underway.

The collaboration between Aggrey & Associates and M. Enterprise provides clients with comprehensive access to services that meet technical, regulatory, logistical, and operational needs. Their joint participation at The Mining Show offered invaluable international exposure, strengthened connections with global mining networks, and provided insights into best-practice standards from other mining jurisdictions.

Looking ahead, both companies are opening doors for medium-scale mining companies to participate in future industry delegations, international mining conferences, and collaborative exhibitions worldwide. Plans are also underway for structured training programs and technical site visits to major mines, aimed at transferring modern mining practices back into Ghana’s mining ecosystem.
Beyond business, Aggrey & Associates has also made strides in community engagement through the Aggrey & Associates Foundation, launched in April 2025. Both Mr. Kofi Aggrey and Alhaji Suleiman Imam Muhammed serve as directors on the foundation’s board. Earlier this year, the foundation led a successful tree-planting initiative in Konongo and is preparing a large-scale Health and Medical Screening program in December 2025, targeting the mitigation of mining-related health impacts in local communities.

Mr. Aggrey, a researcher at the Environmental Assessment & Management Research Centre at the University of Liverpool, remains a strong advocate for responsible mining, emphasising that “mining can be done right, and Ghana can lead the way.”
