Reroy Group, a leading Ghanaian company in the manufacturing and energy sectors, has expressed its profound sorrow over the tragic military helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, that claimed the lives of eight public officials.
In a statement released on Friday (August 15), the day the deceased persons were laid to rest, the company paid tribute to the victims and offered its deepest condolences to their families and the entire nation.
The crash, which occurred in the Ashanti Region, has been widely described as a national tragedy.
The victims included two high-profile cabinet ministers: Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.
They, along with six other dedicated individuals, were on a mission to combat illegal mining, a key government initiative.
The condolence message from Reroy Group honoured the deceased, acknowledging their service and ultimate sacrifice for the country.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of these dedicated individuals… who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation,” a statement signed by Reroy Group Chairperson, Kate Quartey-Papafio, read.

“At this time of national mourning, we stand in solidarity with the bereaved families and the entire country,” the statement concluded, adding a prayer for the victims’ souls to rest in peace.
