The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) had earlier issued a directive that placed a ban on celebrities from advertising for alcoholic beverages.

The FDA’s directive is aimed at protecting minors from being influenced by celebrities into alcoholism.

Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah popularly known as Mzbel, speaking in an interview over the weekend with the host of Onua Showbiz Nana Kwame Gyan, stated that since they have been banned from advertising alcoholic beverages in Ghana, anytime she has any advertisement deals with any of the alcoholic products she will have to relocate to Nigeria so that she can be able to make her money out of it.

“I don’t know if the government will have to bring another rule that will ban we the Ghanaians from going to other countries to endorse alcoholic beverages. That is when I will stand as a citizen because that will be my right as an adult”, she said.

She stated clearly that, if by any chance she gets another deal with Joy Dadi and she is asked to relocate to Nigeria to be able to advertise for them, she will not hesitate to go with them, shoot the advert, post it on all the social media platforms for all the kids to see.
