Former Ghana international, Anthony Baffoe, believes finding the right people to attend to situations as far as sports is concerned is key to getting the country back to where it belongs.
According to Baffoe, Ghana’s sports have suffered because the people with expertise have not been given the right positions which will make good use of their knowledge.
The founder of the Professional Footballers’ Association of Ghana (PFAG) was speaking in connection with the mishandling of Ghana’s stadia on various occasions in the past.
“It’s important to get experts [for our various stadia]. A carpenter or painter cannot be a groundskeeper,” he said during the JoySports National Sports Dialogue on Thursday, March 13.
“This is what we have to know, but sometimes we have the wrong people in the right positions. This has to change. We have to have experts in various positions.”
The JoySports Dialogue had Right to Dream founder, Tom Vernon, international sports consultant, Magnus Rex Danquah, and Baffoe as speakers with the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, also being present.
