Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye, Chairman of the 12-member committee established by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to investigate the reasons behind the party’s defeat in the 2024 general elections, has declined to engage with the media following the presentation of the committee’s findings.
JoyNews reporter, Kenneth Gyasi, who was present at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on Wednesday, April 16, where the party’s leadership met with the committee to receive the findings, made several attempts to speak with the former Speaker of Parliament as he emerged from the conference room, but he consistently refused to respond to questions posed by the press.
Despite being approached on multiple topics, including recent reactions from the former Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Adwoa Safo, Prof Oquaye offered no comment and remained tight-lipped, leaving reporters without any insight into the findings or recommendations contained in the report.
The party has yet to disclose the findings of the investigations.
