Newly crowned MTN FA Cup champions, Nsoatreman SC, are gearing up for their 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup campaign with plans to bolster their squad.

General Manager Eric Alagidede has revealed that the team is set to enhance its lineup with new players.

Nsoatreman SC secured their place in the prestigious continental competition after a thrilling FA Cup final against regional rivals Bofoakwa Tano at the University of Ghana Stadium. Newly crowned MTN FA Cup champions, Nsoatreman SC, are gearing up for their 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup campaign with plans to bolster their squad.

The match saw Bofoakwa Tano take the lead in the first half through Richard Dzikoe. However, Mohammed Sadat equalised for Nsoatreman in the 79th minute, pushing the game into extra time and eventually leading to a penalty shootout.

Sixteen-year-old Foster Apetorgbor emerged as the hero, scoring the decisive penalty that clinched the trophy for Maxwell Konadu’s side.

“We will enhance our squad for the upcoming African campaign,” Alagidede stated on Asempa FM. “The coach is already in talks with several players as we aim to make a significant impact. Dreams FC have set a benchmark, but we do not feel pressured to match their achievements, such as reaching the semifinals. We are focused on adequate preparation to ensure a commendable performance in Africa.”

Nsoatreman face a challenging task ahead, with expectations high following the impressive run of Dreams FC in the competition. Dreams FC made history by reaching the semifinals in their debut season, becoming the first Ghanaian side to achieve that feat since Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko did in 2004.

As Nsoatreman prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup journey, the team’s management and fans are optimistic about their chances of making a significant impact on the continental stage.
