Ace broadcaster who is hoping to represent the people of Adenta Constituency in Parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Obimpeh Nartey has made known his ambition for higher education.
This was after he graduated from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) on Thursday with a Bachelor of Arts, in Public Relations.
Speaking to Thespectatoronline.com, he said, “As I stand on the cusp of a new chapter in my academic journey, I can’t help but reflect on the past four years of my life at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).”
According to him, these years have been nothing short of transformational, equipping him with knowledge, skills, and a passion for Public Relations that will undoubtedly shape his future.
“During my undergraduate years at UPSA, I had the privilege of studying Public Relations, a field that continually captivated me.
The dynamic and ever-evolving nature of PR made each day an exciting learning experience. From mastering the art of crafting compelling press releases to understanding the intricacies of crisis communication, my professors and peers at UPSA provided me with a comprehensive education that prepared me for the challenges of the real world,” he noted.
He said “One of the most invaluable aspects of my time at UPSA was the practical exposure I received. I had the opportunity to work on real-world PR campaigns, intern with renowned organizations, and participate in various extracurricular activities. These experiences not only broadened my horizons but also helped me establish a network of like-minded professionals and mentors.”
Against this backdrop, he disclosed that the forthcoming pursuit of an MPhil is the next step in his quest for academic excellence and professional growth.
The MPhil programme is not just a continuation of my education; it is a commitment to excellence in PR and a chance to become a thought leader in this field.
“Now, as I set my sights on an MPhil program, my goal is to delve deeper into the realm of PR. I am excited about the prospect of conducting research that will contribute to the field’s knowledge and understanding,” OB Nartey added.
He further noted, “While I may have concluded my undergraduate journey at UPSA, I carry the knowledge, experiences, and friendships that will serve as a strong foundation for what lies ahead. My thanks go to the dedicated faculty and supportive peers who have played a crucial role in shaping my academic and personal growth.”
He added “In the coming years, I look forward to the challenges and opportunities that my MPhil programme will bring. I am eager to explore the intricacies of PR further, contribute to the body of knowledge in this field, and, ultimately, make a meaningful impact on the world of communication.”
“As I turn the page on this exciting new chapter, I am grateful for the incredible journey I have had at UPSA and eagerly anticipate the adventures and discoveries that await me in my pursuit of an MPhil. The future is promising, and I am ready to embrace it with enthusiasm and determination,” OB Nartey concluded.
The renowned broadcaster, OB Nartey has completed processes to contest the Adenta NPP slot by earlier filing his nomination and is hopeful that the people of he would be allowed to win back the seat for his party.
