Rotaract District 9104 has concluded what it says has been successful hosting of its much-anticipated District Learning Assembly & Conference 2025 at the Sky Plus Main Auditorium in Takoradi.
With the theme “Beyond Borders: Collaboration & Empowerment for a Magical Experience,” the event brought together Rotaractors, Rotary leaders, community stakeholders and international guests for a transformative weekend of learning, networking and inspiration.
Victor Yaw Asante, past District Governor and Managing Director of FirstBank Ghana, in a keynote address spoke passionately on the essence of Rotary, and encouraged attendees to embrace their personal journeys within the Rotary framework.
“Rotary is about one’s personal journey, so let us focus on that while we collaborate to ensure that we get things done,” he said.
He urged Rotaractors to participate fully in the diverse programmes Rotary offers, reminding them that the impact of the organisation transcends borders.
“Always remember, Rotary is not about countries or our district; it is about the world,” he added. “Be involved, have the passion for Rotary, and participate fully to help shape a brighter future for the communities we serve.”
He also extended appreciation to the delegations from Togo, Benin, and Kenya, who travelled to Takoradi for the conference—highlighting the growing cross-border cooperation within the Rotary family.
District Governor of Rotary International District 9104, Florence Maame Hagan, reaffirmed the district’s dedication to service and sustainable impact.
“Our commitment to service should manifest in our day-to-day lives,” she said, while calling for greater mobilisation of resources to support Rotaract initiatives across the district.
District Rotaract Chair, Kwame Baah Acheamfour, acknowledged the vital support of Sky Plus Hotel in making the event a success and commended FirstBank for its continued partnership with Rotary.
“We must cast our tentacles wide to other neighbouring countries, coming together to think about the growth and betterment of Rotary,” he urged.
Other notable speakers included Solange Adjo Kegou, District Rotaract Representative; Tetteh Kojo Boampong Adesa, Chair of the 2025 Conference; PDRR Allan Ntambi; and the President of Rotaract Africa MDIO.
Their presentations focused on leadership, growth, and collaborative service across borders.
Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Edem Agbana, also addressed the assembly, delivering a rousing speech on youth leadership in Africa.
“Leadership is not confined to age or titles; it is rooted in purpose and service,” he said. “Together, let us embrace this transformative spirit and work towards a brighter future for Africa.”
As the curtains came down on the conference, participants departed reinvigorated and ready to deepen their impact through service, innovation, and regional collaboration.
The District Learning Assembly & Conference 2025 stood not only as a celebration of shared values and achievements, but as a bold call to action for a generation of changemakers committed to going beyond borders.
