Dr Naomi Kwetey has expressed deep gratitude following her appointment as Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), a role she describes as both an honour and a call to service.
“I am deeply honoured by the trust and confidence John Mahama has placed in me,” she stated in a public post.
“I accept this responsibility with a deep sense of duty and commitment to advancing the bank’s vision of financial stability, innovation, and inclusive growth,” she stated in a Facebook post.
Dr. Kwetey’s response reflects not only personal appreciation but also a clear readiness to take on the responsibility of steering one of Ghana’s key financial institutions.
With a firm commitment to the bank’s strategic direction, she stressed her eagerness to collaborate with the Board, management, staff, and stakeholders of CBG to further strengthen the banking sector.
Her leadership vision is anchored in principles that resonate with CBG’s core mandate—ensuring stability in the financial sector, promoting innovation, and expanding access to financial services across all levels of society.
Grateful for the support she’s received throughout her journey, Dr. Kwetey said she’s energised by the road ahead.
“I am excited about the opportunities ahead as we work together to build a stronger financial future for all,” she said.
