Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang has said he will vehemently refuse movie roles which will include nudity, violent content, or intimate situations regardless of the lucrative offer it comes with.
The actor revealed on TV3’s New Day that his judgments are driven more by his personal ideals and values not money.
“There are characters that I may not play. Somebody else would play it… Nudity, nude scenes, and very graphic, intimate scenes. That’s the thing. It’s not about the money,” he said on June 26, 2024.

Adjetey Anang recalled how a role played by his colleague actor, Fred Amugi affected his personal life after the movie.
He recounted that a food vendor in Kumasi once refused to sell to Fred Amugi after his role in the movie where he played the role of a criminal.
The actor also discussed how society views actors, pointing out that many Ghanaians find it difficult to distinguish between the real-life characters of actors and the roles they play.
“And that’s how serious people take it. They can’t draw a line between the craft and the actor”, he remarked.
Adjetey Anang together with two colleagues, Daniel Delong and Peter Ritchie were on The New Day on TV3 to discuss a new movie, ‘The Groomsmen’.
‘The Groomsmen’ is set to be premiered on July 12 at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra Mall.
